Subsequently, he moved to the private sector as specialist in European structural financing funds, working as Coordinator of the Structural Funds Department within the Community Development Agency “Together” and as Manager of the European Funds Department at S&T Romania.
Since 2015, Mihai teaches Project Management, as associate professor at Romanian-American Univeristy
Nowadays, Mihai owns the firm “Botezatu Consultancy and Projects SRL”.
